i've got a noose around my neck
and im feeling pretty grateful that its not strep instead
the doctors round here are great theyll give you gatorade
and if youre really sick like my friends are sick, then youll get something to wash
it down with

but the pills are doing more harm than they could ever take away
pharmaceutical companies never really bothered me
until i stepped back and i looked at the big picture, the big picture

and there are people i know, who are so far down in death row
that theyre not coming back again
and i dont take my health for granted anymore because im
slowly becoming one of them

ive got a good amount of friends and should be grateful im not dead because of them
but i dont count my lucky stars because of light pollution and the ceiling over my head
the ceiling over my head,
i would tear it down, but im just not that kind of man

i dont have the muscles, or tools or permits required for a proper demolition
so i will chip away at it, chip away at it chip away at it all

and there are people i know who have been living inside their Entire life
and only recently have grown
and i dont take my shelter for granted anymore because i
only recently have felt at home
